Easter always brings back special memories. There are the childhood memories of finding easter baskets, coloring eggs and hearing the Easter story from the scriptures. But my most tender memories come from my time in Russia as a missionary. On Easter when Russians see each other they say "Kristos Voskres." It means 'Jesus is risen!' In reply you say, "Vo istinu Voskres." This means 'It is true! Christ is Risen!' I love this gesture. I love how they rejoice with each other, out loud, that our Lord and Savior is risen. He lives. What a glorious blessing! My tears come easily on Easter. My tender feelings of love for Jesus Christ are especially poignant when we recount his suffering, his commitment, his glory and ability to rise above it all. For me. For you. For anyone who chooses to accept Him. I can think of no better reason to rejoice!
It is true! Christ is risen!

I LOVE that! Wouldn't that be wonderful if we could be so open!
