Friday is going to be ode to something day (I know it's Saturday, but I meant to do this all day yesterday). My first ode goes to paper. I love it. When I was younger I'd find any excuse to go to the stationery store and admire all the paper, once in a while I'd splurge and get some. With the advent of scrapbooking in my later years, I could enter any scrapbook store and be happy taking home a new stack of patterned playthings. It's so fun thinking of all the things I can do with it once I get home. A lot of it, sadly, has gone unused because I can not find worthy ways to put the delightful designs to use. This picture is a fun fall collection I purchased recently, but don't worry I already have a project in mind to use these goodies. I just love paper, I know it sounds a bit weird doesn't it??---maybe Fridays should be ode to odd obesssions. Anyway, what do you love?

Ode to Paper

Ooooh, I am obsessed with paint color decks. I own the color decks from Kwal's, Ralph Lauren, Benjamin Moore, Pratt & Lambert, Sherwin Williams, and Behr. I even own the Pottery Barn color deck (the one you order from their catelog)! I can't get enough of them. I can literally spend HOURS - and often do - looking at paint colors and different combinations. I want to buy and sell houses just so I can't paint them all a different color! :)
I have the same love for paper. Anything with stripes and polka dots. Show me some pink and brown and I am $20 poorer. Luckily I have daughters who are crafty and actually use it up. I also have the same love for fabric!
One thing that I also seem to be able to buy my kids, even if I have just told them that we are not buying something at the store, is crayola products. Love 'em! I have to try all the new things that they have. I can't seem to have enough of them at home. Sometimes I want to buy a package of markers just for me. I never do, or maybe what I am buying is actually for me.
