Eli preparing for our pajama party with 'lumpy ol' dog'--
that's what he calls the sleeping bag--I have no idea why.

We love this time of year. Eli is completely obsessed with Halloween and hasn't stopped talking about it since last year. There are so many fun things to do & I love the cool, crisp air. There is a smell in the air that you can only detect in October. I love it!!!
A week ago we went on a tour of a fire station and Eli thought it was great. Then on Friday we headed out to the Scarecrow Festival. Eli thought he had died and gone to heaven. There were 15 or so of those giant inflatables with huge slides. He loved it! He also got his first taste of rock climbing--he loved that too. Friday night Michael was out playing games so Eli and I had a pajama party--Eli's first time falling asleep on the family room floor while watching a movie. The older he gets the more fun he is to have around.

Mariah, what a treat to find your blog. Your son is adorable! I am so glad you have become friends with Laurie, she is the truest, bluest one you will ever have. I would love to join your next movie day.
Sweet Mariah, I thought we were friends?? I can't believe you didn't call me to go to the firehouse? I always need an excuse to hang around there ;-) I was driving in my car on Wednesday and in front of the firestation there was a big banner that said 'Orem City Safety Open House' Heavenly day! Uniforms everywhere!! There were firemen, police, EMT's.. it was like Christmas.Sadly I had no children with me. I almost stopped anyway under the pretense of checking things out for my kids but I just took a deep breath and kept driving!
( Gotta love that Whit )
Laurie...LOL...I almost snorted water out my nose you made me laugh so hard! How could I have forgotten your obsession? Next time, for sure, you're there!
Mariah, that sounds like so much fun. I wish I could have been there and about this time of year, I love it too but I have to say I just don't have the crisp cool air. In Texas it's the thick warm air. :)
It's still 85 degrees here, ahhh!
