I had a lot of fun with these photo display boards. I used a combination of this tutorial and another similar one. They were fun to make & I enjoyed adding unique touches for the person I was giving it to. I'm sort of addicted and now have added power tools (i.e., saw, router, drill) to my Christmas wish list. I'm sure Santa's not tired of hearing from me yet, right?
* In the tutorial she talks about small finials she found at Lowe's. I could never find them, even after walking around the store for an hour, talking to 4 different employees & looking up the barcode, so some Lowe's do not carry them. This is why I ended up combining tutorials to get this look.
* The top two pictures are 5x7 and the last is 4x6 to give you a sense of how big these really are.
* This is not a project you can complete in an afternoon. Plan on working on it over several days because you need to glue, let it dry, 1st coat of paint, let it dry, 2nd coat, etc. etc.
* Having said that, they weren't hard at all & felt like they had limitless potential with different colors, finishing touches and added elements.
* I have one more, different look I want to share but haven't given that one away yet. So look for an update to this post later.
