6 1/2 hands-old

My cute nephew turned 5 on Saturday and he now claims that he is one-hand old. According to my calculations, that makes me 6 1/2 hands-old today. Approaching 33 has been interesting. Truthfully, I have never had a hard time getting older. But this one seems to be defying my desire for maturing. I am sure it has a lot to do with all the struggles we've had in the last year or so in trying to add to our family, but my wish today would be either to stop time or magically be 8 1/2 months pregnant. Neither of those things are going to happen, so instead I think I'll be grateful, eat cake, adore my freshly pedicured toes, enjoy my family, love my friends & pretend that I'm only 4 hands-old.

That's such a cute way to say how old someone is. And that's a pretty darn cute picture of you.

Happy Happy Birthday!!
May you not have to bake your own cake and dinner your husband will make! A little Irish birthday rhyme :-) haha. Hope your birthday is better than that!
