10 years

Today marks 10 years since I returned from serving as a missionary for my church. These aren't the best pictures, as I was too lazy to go and scan them so instead just took pictures of pictures. However, the 18 months I served as a missionary were some of the best in my life. Not to say it was all fun & easy (far from it), but the things I learned along the way are priceless to me. I fell in love with Russia and the people I met; my service there has been a spiritual anchor for good all these years. I will be forever grateful for my experience and all the people who played a part in it.

Me and my trainer (and my favorite ever companion), Sister Pugmire
Me & some elders performing a Christmas play. No, that is not a faceless ninja to the right. He was somehow part of the performance.
Me and another favorite companion. She was from Hungary & we both loved to laugh. We got along great. She found this movie poster by a dumpster and brought it in to our apartment. We then reformed it a bit to give it some missionary ambiance.

Those are neat pictures. I'm always taking pictures of pictures instead of scanning. It's all about loving the low-tech pleasures. :)
