Girl Time

I love time with girls. After all, I grew up in a house with 7 sisters & my mom. There was always someone to talk to, even if you were mad at half of them there were still 3 others to talk to. As the years have passed girlfriends have filled in spots that sisters left when they moved away. I love the times when I can laugh, bond, giggle, talk, share, & laugh some more with my fabulous friends, sisters, aunts, grandma & mom.
It all started Wed. night with a GNO at Texas Road House with my wardies. Thursday was the start of Women's conference & we sat through classes, learned a lot, laughed even more & ended it with an afternoon tea. Oh yeah, there was the concert we attended later that was more laughable than enjoyable. There is something SO wrong with someone pushing 60 who's squeezing into skinny jeans and trying to entertain like he's 23. But, I digress. There was a song or two that was worth it.

{Did I mention we're all a little crazy...you were thinking it was just me, right?}
Friday was more classes with the same awesome women. My mom especially shined that day as she presented. I feel so lucky to have learned from her my whole life. Dinner that night was fantastic, but the company was really what I was there for. Talking with each other late into the night on my mom's bed finished the night off perfectly.
Saturday started with a bang when I got to run with my dad and sister. I learned that my dad will not be outrun & I did not inherit is competitive nature :) The rest of the day was spent shopping, going to a movie, chatting, and more bonding.

Sunday we had to say goodbye, so that of course was sad. . .but they weren't the first tears that were shed over the weekend.

Monday picked up when I got to attend a dance concert of when of my laurels. She was beautiful & in my opinion outshone everyone! Then today it was off to a long overdue pedicure for some long overdue catching up with a good friend. There is nothing like girl time.
** This post was made possible in part through my Michael. He watched mr. E through all this and never complained. He's learned I need my girl time. Thanks, love!
