A Lovely Day

From pre-school we went straight to IHOP for our free pancakes. Mmmmm...delicious. Eli thought it was so absurd, silly and fun all at the same time to have pancakes for lunch. We weren't in any hurry so we sat and talked and took it easy. He makes a fabulous lunch date.

{remember the pancake video? Eli is imitating the guy's look perfectly}From there we went to the dollar theater and caught a matinee of Veggie Tales: The Pirates that don't do anything. Eli has watched this trailer a grunt load of times and was ecstatic when I told him where we were going. My favorite part was the lesson at the end about how we're given tests to see if we do the right thing. Yes, veggie tales, I agree.

To top off the delightful day we worked on valentines for Eli's preschool class. Here's a sneak peek:
Eli did the stamping. Referring to the middle one in the picture, he said, "oh no that heart got zapped and it turned into bananas." Look closely, you'll know what he's talking about. That kid, he's a funny one!
