I'm seriously so in love with how these turned out. I want to kiss these owls good night I love them so much.
I saw this on Shanty2Chic & was inspired.
Here's the break down of how to complete this project. Sorry no pictures along the way, next time I need to remember that a tutorial is not really a tutorial without pictures.1. Buy white pine at Lowe's or Home Depot ($6 or so).
2. Cut 8x8 squares.
3. Sand edges.
4. Stain with MinWax dark mahogany color. ($4 or so)
5. Let dry for 15-20 minutes & then wipe off any excess.
6. Tape off border and sides with painters' tape. The width of the border is just the tapes width.
7. Spray paint with Rust-Oleom heirloom white. ($3 or so)
8. Cut out owls or other designs you prefer with an awesome Silhouette machine.
9. Mod podge images on to wood and then coat with another protective layer.
10. Let dry and stand back and admire your work!
