Why I'm still smiling

**It really all started Sunday when I had an unexpected visit from a friend with a birthday treat** Tuesday the same thing**I also got a surprise lunch date with my mom**Then Wednesday was full of fun**I shared breakfast (and lips!) with some friends**my little leprechaun went to school with his hair green**He also earned his latest Webkin the day before--he had been stuck at $5.50 for a long time and then did extra jobs for the rest of the money--made us both so happy**Because of his help, I had a clean house for my birthday**
**Michael took the day off and hung out with me all day** We went shopping & picked up mr. E from school together**We did more shopping**I found a darling (and cheap!) accessory for my kitchen walls**I tried on lots of clothes and took my time**I got my make-up done**We searched for perfumes/colognes that we liked**We dined at Tucano's and I over-stuffed myself**They sang to me too, even though I told Michael not to mention it was my birthday :)**I heard from family**I got calls from friends**Many of them sang to me, too**

**Then, on the very day of my birthday I saw this sign, way cool!**

**Of course we stopped and I got a very huge shake--I maybe ate 10 bites of it**When we returned home there were 2 packages on the doorstep for me!**One of them contained vinyl cut-outs of Russian nesting dolls. So in love!!**There were also several messages on the machine**More phone calls**Setting up a lunch date with a friend next week**Another surprise visit with delicious treats**One of the nicest notes anyone's ever written to me**
**My coveted Chuck's are finally mine!! (fyi: I wore chuck's in high school/college--love getting back to my 'roots' haha!) **Mr. Michael also surprised me with a new, little 'magic bullet'-like blender--now my protein shakes are even more convenient**And all the facebook love--it was so fun to have 4 or 5 new birthday wishes each time I checked my phone throughout the day**lots of texts too, love those bday texts!**As mr E went to bed I thanked him for making my day so fun & he said, "don't worry I'll do it again next year!"**Then finally, cuddled up in bed with the blanket a friend gave me--feeling loved and so, so happy!**

34 years and 34 reasons I'm still smiling.
