Months ago, I posted about my love for matryoshka. Since then, I've acquired some more of the darling little Russian icons & they make me smile each time I see them.
My matryoshka hoodie that I designed, sewed and appliqued. It was actually cuter in my head, but it will do.
A gift from a friend, I wear it at least 3-4 times a week. They each open up as little lockets. I really, really like this necklace.
Another gift from another friend (I have great friends!!). This is also so fun to wear & it's backside has a design with alternate colors so it basically coordinates with anything I wear.I love these dolls and their symbolism of fertility, a mother doll with her numerous doll-children perfectly represent my hope for the future.

I didn't realize that's what they symbolized. Makes perfect sense though. Ive always like these nesting dolls too. :)
P.S. I finally read The Book Thief last week. Now that I've had a couple of days to distance myself from it, I'm impressed with the way it was written. But it sure did depress me while I was reading it! I posted some of my favorite quotes today on my blog. :)
You are so clever. Way cute accessories. For some reason I can't comment on your latest post about Eli, but I can tell there is much between the lines. He could not have had a more perfect mom. You guys are so good together.
I absolutely love the hoodie. Wished we lived closer--I think we would have a booming business by now :)
Looks like someone misses Russia! How great is that stamp set? Too bad I can't buy one and I'm not in the SU scene anymore. They just don't ship to China.
