What a special day we had. Michael took the day off work and we headed up to the open house of the Draper temple. I was so excited to take Eli and let him see the inside of a temple. It is so beautiful; several rooms have floor to ceiling murals of stunning landscapes. The spirit was very strong & I knew mr. E felt it as well when he said to me, "Mom, I like this because it makes me feel like Jesus is real and that I really can see Him." Wow. I think I've had a smile on my face ever since.

What a neat idea! I want to take my kids now. :) Did you have to stand in line a long time? If you call ahead to make a reservation does it mean you can bypass the long line situation? Just curious. Thanks for sharing. :)
Wendi, take your kids for sure. It's such a special opportunity. There was no line at all. They have you park at a church where you view a short video and then they bus you to the temple. After they have cookies and drinks as well. If you click on the link I highlighted you can make a reservation.
Thanks for the added info. I made a reservation for February 10th, so hopefully that will go through--it's the 16th anniversary of when I entered the MTC. :) I'm really thankful for this opportunity. I know you don't know me, but I'm going to invite you to one of my blogs. I just invited your mom as well. I look forward to being friends in blogland. :)
This reminds me of when I took my boys thorugh the Bountiful Temple. What an awesome experience. I love the temples!!!
I printed our reservation for the open house. Yay! :) And thanks for registering for my blog and leaving a comment. You've helped to make this a great day for me. :)
It is absolutely beautiful and isn't it a great experiences for our kids (and us)?
Breakfast soon?
That is so amazing that you got to take your son to the temple. Emily was just telling me today that she wants to see Jesus' real skin. What a great testimony builder for him!
That is nice that you took your son! I want to take my kids to see it too. What a great opportunity for them to be able to see the inside of the Temple! Your blog is cute!
