Time at the Lake

(beautiful path that takes you around the whole lake)(if you look closely, you can see our 12 in. blow up mattress, let me tell you...that is the best investment a camper could ever make)
We went camping this weekend & had a splendid time. It was our first official camping trip as a family & went off without a hitch--except for a few minor inconveniences (forgetting a spatula to turn pancakes with, tin foil dinners gone awry). Nonetheless, the time away was wonderful. We went up to Payson lakes, which was a favorite spot my family camped at growing up. It was just as beautiful, or more so, than I remembered it. Plans are to do it again next summer, and I'm already looking forward to it.
(Working hard on our camp craft: tie dye t-shirts. He loved it!)(He loved getting dirty. Here he had just told me his hands were so dirty they looked like they had cinnamon all over them.)(photo taken by mr. E, not too shabby)

Looks like you all had a great time. Next year we want to camp with the kids, but we will wait and see if it holds up. Eli's comments are so funny. He is at such a fun age!! Looks like a great place to camp!

So fun! Is that where I spent a week with your fam one summer? I recall a hot tent, dancing around the fire etc.

Girl, I'm with you and the air mattress. No other way to do it baby. Well, actually a cabin sounds really great. But in a tent? Gotta have the mattress. Glad you guys had a great time.
