If you can spare one

photo taken from my talented sister

Please take a minute and pray for my mom. She will be having brain surgery tomorrow at 3 pm. The problem with the tumor is its location, they can not get to it to biopsy it--it's located right on the optic nerve. So although it might be lymphoma and treatable with radiation, they have to open up her brain to find that out. Which means a lot of risk, the most likely her loss of sight in that eye.

We're saying lots of prayers and hoping with lots of faith.

This afternoon we're attending the temple together and then we'll take part in a hair cutting ceremony, since they'll be shaving most of it tomorrow anyway. I love my mom so much and hate to think of all the recovery she has in front of her. However, she is a great woman of faith & has said over and over that she feels peace. I also feel peace and know through this trial much good will be born.

Thanks for all your words of compassion, it helps so much.

Oh man. This is such a scary time for your family. I will for sure be praying for you. And from my experience, it gets better from here. Treatment was easier emotionally that the diagnosis part. I hope that is so for your mom!

We are praying for your mom and for you for the strength you'll all need to make it through this. That picture of your parents is great, I love it.

They are doing amazing things for Lymphoma so hopefully all the research that they have done for it will all benefit your mom. We will be praying our hearts out, please keep us updated. I will put her name on my marathon day jersey as one of the cancer patients I am walking for. We love you and please let us know if there is anyway we can help you. If you would like to get information on Lymphoma let me know I have great connections for that.

we wish the best for your mom. I didn't read your blog until today so we'll pray for a quick recovery. How scary though, nothing bad should ever happen to moms...
